QUALIFYING CRITERIA |
QUALIFICATION |
- · Grade 12
- · National Diploma in Safety Management
- · SAMTRAC/COMSOC, HIRA, Incident Investigation

EXPERIENCE |
- · Minimum 2 years relevant practical experience in Mining and industrial environment and in heavy current applications including, crushers, screens
- · Knowledge of the BCEA, LRA, OHSA, MHSA, COIDA and OHSAS/ISO Systems
- · Knowledge of MS Office Applications and Report Writing Skills

POSITION REQUIREMENTS |
- · Responsible for the compliance to, the maintaining of such compliance and the adherence to the Companies Integrated ISO system
- · Manage the subordinate staff with regards to all incidents of misconduct, negligence and poor work performance and ensure that these issues are handled and reported correctly in terms of the Company’s Disciplinary Policy and Procedure
- · Review, update and maintain the Company’s Occupational Health and Safety Management programme
- · Managing and implementation of the Company’s SHEQ Policies and Procedures by ensuring the Safety Department’s activities comply
- · Research, identify best practices and recommend suggestions to senior management for continued improvement in Occupational Health and Safety
- · Responsible for auditing and reporting such audits to the standards as required to internal and external parties
- · Research, compile and present reports to Management as and when required
- · Maintain a high level of good housekeeping in responsible area
- · Complete daily DSD and report deviations to Plant Manager
